South Somerset Digital SummitOur eagerly awaited South Somerset Digital Summit took place on 18th September at Yeovil College. 

Over fifty delegates, including key members of leading edge technology businesses and senior business leaders were given a much-needed update on the broadband roll-out by the south-west regional manager of BT, Paul Coles.  Kate Doodson, executive director of Cosmic, the agency tasked by Connecting Devon & Somerset (CD&S) delivered a fascinating and insightful look into what the digital future for business and commerce might look like. 

The presentations were followed by a Q&A session with a panel which included Marcus Fysh MP, and John Evans, principal of Yeovil College.  Follow-up events and workshops are planned in association with Yeovil College, Barclays Bank and CD&S, to further inform and empower the local business community.
