President's Heartbeat - w/c 8th September

Released On 8th Sep 2017

Change is coming at Yeovil Chamber. This week saw the conclusion of a four-month highly self-critical review of the way Chamber does business and interacts with it's members.

The objectives were: to clarify the role of Chamber; enhance the member experience; develop Chamber membership into a package of benefits delivering greater value; and to expand the role of Chamber to be the hub for the whole Yeovil business community, delivering more support, along with real commercial benefits and opportunities.

I'm pleased to say that every objective has been addressed. The changes will be communicated via an awareness campaign, with the changes taking full effect from 1st January 2018. There will likely be a moderate increase in membership fees, but in return I can promise Yeovil Chamber will deliver significantly greater value for all members across all sectors and sizes. Since the review commenced, several changes have already been delivered, such as standardised, branded communications and a mobile-friendly website. A new Patronage package will revolutionise the Chamber proposition; delivering tailored support for individual business requirements, and is expected to offer opportunity and support for non-Yeovil based businesses wishing to do business in Yeovil. Stay tuned for further news.
