President’s Charity - Yeovil Shopmobility

If you don’t know already, I have selected www.yeovilshopmobility.co.uk as my nominated charity for 2015. 

Yeovil Shopmobility was founded in 2008 and provides powered scooters and other mobility aids that allow less physically able shoppers to get out and about in Yeovil.  Put simply; if Yeovil Shopmobility were not there, a whole section of our community would shop elsewhere in other towns that operate similar schemes. 

This is the only local charity I know that directly benefits the retailers and shoppers in one operation.  Yeovil Chamber is now donates 5% of any profit made on events to Yeovil Shopmobility.
