MP Question Time September
Released On 28th Sep 2015
On 4th September, Marcus Fysh MP made his debut appearance at our now twice-yearly MP Question Time.
Nearly thirty delegates attended Yeovil Golf Club to hear Marcus discuss members’ questions on the hot topics of business rates and broadband, along with other issues such as town centre crime & safety, his constituency responsibilities, and use of agricultural land for business/residential purposes. President David Woan also gave an update on his 3rd September briefing from senior Highway officials over the Horsey Roundabout road closures.
On the subject of business rates, Marcus said: “Stand by for an announcement in next years’ budget.” Marcus is so far, making all the right noises in support of the business community.
Chamber remains optimistic that this will translate into tangible support for local business issues.
