M-Hub's Second Anniversary Event

M-Hub is a Yeovil Chamber initiative run by and exclusively for manufacturing and engineering businesses across Yeovil, South Somerset and West Dorset.
In November 2021 M-Hub celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a celebratory networking event at the new aerospace facility in Yeovil, iAero.
The iAero Centre is a purpose-built 2,398 m2 research, design and innovation facility, built to support the competitiveness and growth of the aerospace and associated high-value design and engineering technology supply chains. The Centre is offering high-quality office, light industrial and collaboration space as well as innovation support services.
On 18th November members of the M-Hub group met for canapes and talks at iAero. The event was extremely well attended with presentations from;
- Neil Discombe, Garador on M-Hub and the last two years
- Paul Hickson, Strategic Commissioning Manager for Somerset County Council talking about the new iAero facility
- David Ralph CEO of LEP, about the winder reginal manufacturing perspective
- Nick Whitney from Leonardo about supply chain and Leonardo’s new logistics centre
- Nick Golding, Director od SWMAS about the support that is available for NetZero
The event saw 12 different manufacturers attend and over 25 individuals get together to hear about the manufacturing landscape in the area, the new facility and help with going NetZero. There was plenty of opportunity for the attendees to discuss ideas and also provide feedback from M-Hub on how to grown and move forward.
M-Hub is now looking forward to the 2022 calendar of tours and networking events, first of which being hosted by GOOCH & HOUSEGO PLC in Ilminster in February 2022.
