Enhancing Your Employment Market

Chamber is now in partnership with Yeovil College to connect our employer members directly into how students are prepared for the world of the local jobs/careers market.  Other regional towns already harness this joined-up strategy, which has been proven to positively influence their local economy.  Amongst other activities, Yeovil College familiarises students with the (sometimes alien) concept of dealing with adults, to complement their academic qualifications.  This increases student confidence, allowing them to maximise their full potential when they arrive on your doorstep looking for work.  How many of our employer members know for example, there are no-cost six-month work-experience placements, which allow you to assess students before committing to a job offer?  These students are our future, and Yeovil College is now working with Chamber to ensure students can bring as much as possible to your party.
