Chamber Maintains Commitment to Yeovil Shopmobility

At the 9th December Chamber Christmas Dinner, President David Woan presented a cheque for £300 to Julia Boon, Manager of Yeovil Shopmobility. 

David said: “No other local charity simultaneously benefits both the local economy and consumers as directly and uniquely as Yeovil Shopmobility, and that is why I will continue with our support.  Shopmobility delivers a service that empowers the less able bodied, who would shop in other towns if Shopmobility were not in Yeovil.”  Formed in 2008, Yeovil Shopmobility relies totally on the continued generosity of patrons, local authorities and the business community, providing motorised wheelchairs and accessories that allow the less able-bodied to make full use of the retail and leisure facilities on offer in Yeovil.
