Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF)

Released On 31st Oct 2023

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is introducing the Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF), a grant program with a total funding of £42.6 million distributed over the years 2023 to 2024 (£20 million) and 2024 to 2025 (£22.6 million). The primary goal of this fund is to encourage innovation in the field of adult social care.

Despite the longstanding history of innovation in the care sector, some ground breaking advancements often remain at the periphery rather than becoming the mainstream method of delivering care and support. Through the ARF, the department aims to facilitate the expansion of services that truly prioritize person focused care for those who depend on them, empower unpaid caregivers to lead healthy and fulfilling lives while fulfilling their caregiving responsibilities, and address the growing demand and evolving needs of local populations. Collaboration and effective communication play a crucial role in integrating and sustaining these innovations. The ARF is specifically structured to promote collaborative efforts within local areas and to foster the sharing of knowledge and best practices on a national scale.
