Yeovil Update September 2022

Yeovil Update September 2022

Released On 3rd Oct 2022

The Yeovil NPT team have taken action after people reported antisocial behaviour (ASB), drugs and other issues at a property in Stiby Road, Yeovil.
We worked with South Somerset District Council to get a three-month closure order.
Acting Police Sergeant Declan Quinn said: “We’d like to thank the public for their continued support and assistance as we sought to deal with these issues.
“No-one should have to experience crime on their doorstep or feel unsafe in their neighbourhood. We believe the closure order will help prevent these incidents continuing and we’ll continue to work closely with the community to make sure such problems are not repeated. “We’d urge anyone experiencing similar issues to contact the police so we’re aware of the issues and can look to take proactive action, where required."

East Yeovil

The Neighbourhood Policing team have received reports of youths riding motorcycles around on the road and in grassed areas on the East side of Yeovil.

West Yeovil

Residents in and around Stiby road, and those around the Westfield Park have been experiencing ongoing criminal damage to property, and general nuisance behaviour by groups of youths in recent weeks.
This behaviour is not tolerated, and Police are working closely with Park rangers and other agencies to try target these issues and take action.

Town Centre

We are aware of an increase in Anti-Social Behaviour, Street Drinking and Begging within Yeovil Town Centre - we are carrying out regular patrols to reduce and deter this behaviour.
