Yeovil resident David Fuller found guilty of flytipping offence

A Yeovil resident has been issued with a suspended prison sentence for flytipping in South Somerset and other offences.
David Fuller was convicted at South Somerset magistrates court in connection with an offence which occurred in Yeovil on 30 April, 2020.
The court heard that Mr Fuller, of Kingston in Yeovil, and another unidentified man carried out an act of unauthorised flytipping on council-owned land in Yeovil and the incident was captured on CCTV.
Mr Fuller was identified from the footage.
The case was heard together Crown Prosecution Service case against him for a public order offence and for assaulting a police officer, for which he was also found guilty.
For the flytipping incident, he received a four-week prison sentence and was ordered to pay £775 costs. In the CPS case, he received an eight-week prison sentence and was ordered to pay an additional £775 in costs.
He was also ordered to pay a single Victim Surcharge of £120. The custodial sentences were ordered to run consecutively, giving a total sentence of 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months.
These were serious matters and South Somerset District Council thanks the court for its verdict.
