Yeovil Literary Festival tickets go on sale with an array of popular names

Purchase your tickets now for the 10th Yeovil Literary Festival as an array of popular and well-known names come to Yeovil to discuss their recent published books.

Yeovil Literary Festival takes place this year between Thursday 20th and Monday 24th October with events taking place at The Octagon Theatre, Westlands Entertainment Venue and Yeovil Library.

Tickets have gone on sale today (Friday 1 July) for popular names including Tom Kerridge, Delia Smith, Hugh Fearnley Whittinstall, Melanie C, Hugh Bonneville and Paterson Joseph. Also confirmed for the festival are Tracy Borman, Dr Maggie Adrern-Pocock MBE, Ben MacIntyre, Brian Bilston, Peter Snow & Ann MacMillan and Kate Adie.

Magician and YouTube sensation Dan Rhodes, writer Alexander McCall Smith and one of Britain’s best-loved actors, Sheila Hancock make up the final events confirmed so far.

The Yeovil Literary Festival presents an exciting programme of literature, comedy and arts events from well-known literary figures, comedians, celebrities and exciting new writers. The festival is a not-for-profit partnership between The Octagon Theatre & Westlands Entertainment Venue (part of South Somerset District Council), Waterstones, Yeovil Community Arts Association and Somerset Library Service.

Adam Burgan, one of the Festival Directors and also Arts & Entertainment Venues Manager at The Octagon Theatre & Westlands Entertainment Venue, said: “The other Festival Directors and I are very excited about this year’s and are delighted with the programme currently being put together. We are now on sale with some amazing events including Spice Girl in Melanie C, best-selling cookery writers, one of Britain’s most accomplished actors – Hugh Bonneville – to name a few. Watch this space for some more exciting announcements and make sure you book your tickets early for the best seats in the house.”

With plenty of time still left until Yeovil Literary Festival starts, the Festival Directors are busily working to confirm more names. All events will be promoted once confirmed and you will be able to pick up your copy of the Yeovil Literary Festival brochure with all the final confirmed names from Monday 5th September.
