Yeovil Literary Festival – inspiring artists and authors for 10 years

The public will be spoilt for choice this year at the Yeovil Literary Festival with over fifty well-known literary figures, comedians, celebrities, and exciting new writers to choose from.

Yeovil Literary Festival takes place between Thursday 20 October to Monday 24th October, with events at The Octagon Theatre, Westlands Entertainment Venue and Yeovil Library.

The full-up line for the festival has now been revealed, and includes Liz McConaghy, Tom Kerridge, Delia Smith, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Melanie C, Hugh Bonneville, Anton du Beke, Dr Thomas Halliday, Amy Jeffs, Janice Hallett, David Parker, Ben Okri, Simon Mayo, Brendan O’Carroll, Rich Hall, plus many more.

Now in its tenth year the festival has gone from strength to strength and welcomed even more inspirational artists and authors to Somerset, with more than six thousand tickets sold for last year’s festival.

Councillor Frederica Smith-Roberts, Somerset County Council’s cabinet member with responsibilities for libraries said: “We are delighted to be celebrating the tenth year of the Yeovil Literary Festival which has grown in size and popularity.

There is a great line up of authors, explorers, dancers, pop stars, chefs, and celebrities – something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you at Yeovil Library.”
