YEOVIL COLLEGE WELCOMES FUTURE STUDENTS ONCE MORE
Released On 14th Jan 2022
On Monday 17th January from 4pm-8pm, Yeovil College will open its campus for the first information event of the academic year. Yeovil College's expert staff team will be on hand to support future students in taking their next steps on their career journeys. This event will showcase Yeovil College's state-of-the-art technology and equipment, demonstrate the 21st century learning experience offered at Yeovil College, and offer opportunities to build relationships between staff and future students.
For many, this will be a first opportunity to view the brand-new Health, Education and Science Centre, which opened at the beginning of the term. The Centre is the largest of its kind in the country and amongst the biggest in the whole of the UK. After an investment of over £3 million, current and future students are able to access multiple hospital wars, care settings, state-of-the-art science Labs, health and social care suites, digital dental labs, clinical training environments and primary care and early year settings.
Yeovil College offers a varied range of subjects across every curriculum area, and with many links to the local industry and employers, the College can tailor student experience to the relevant business opportunities. Courses offered span across A levels, Vocational qualifications, University-level qualifications, Professional and Technical qualifications and T Levels.
Mark Bolton, Principal & CEO of Yeovil College said: "It is fantastic to be able to open up our campus once more and to showcase our wonderful site and expert teaching staff to the community. We are investing significantly into our campus to offer our community a learning provision that is employer and demand-led and fit to deliver the higher digital skills of the future, and the information event is an ideal way to become part of the vision."
In order to stagger visitors and enable Yeovil College to deliver a COVID-safe event, all interested visitors and students are required to book an arrival time slot, with no more than one parent or guardian attending the event with each potential student to help keep numbers at a safe level.
In the past year, Yeovil College has become an Institute of Technology, only one of 12 in the country; achieved high A Level grades including 100% pass rate for the sixth consecutive year; the commencement of T Levels across all T Level areas has taken place; and the College has won a significant amount of funding to deliver higher digital skills across subjects which are most in demand.
