Milsted Langdon Manager Enjoys 25 Years In Service
Released On 17th Feb 2022
For more than 25 years, Lynsey Rowley has supported the needs of businesses across the South West through her various roles at accountancy firm, Milsted Langdon.
Now the practice is celebrating her hard work, passion and commitment to clients, as she marks this momentous two-and-a-half-decade anniversary in her career.
Lynsey joined the firm in 1997, after graduating from Bath University with BSc in Economics and spent the next three years training with the practice before qualifying as an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
In 2001 she was promoted to supervisor and then a general practice manager two years later.
Lynsey said that the firm supported her through her training and exams and allowed her to do work for other departments, such as insolvency and forensics, while also giving her support during her maternity and afterwards, through part-time working.
Speaking about her time at the firm, Lynsey said: “I enjoy working for Milsted Langdon due to opportunities to get involved in a wide variety of work, together with the people and culture.
“A lot has changed since I started – size being the main one, as there were only two offices and six partners. The technology we used when I joined just doesn’t compare in any way to the innovative systems we use now.”
Lynsey said she had many memorable experiences working at the firm, including dressing up in combat gear for a Quake event, counting cows, and being introduced to The Countess of Wessex at a client’s event.
Many of Lynsey’s clients have worked with her since she was a junior, continuing to receive her guidance and support as she has worked her way up through the practice.
Tim Close, Chair of Milsted Langdon, said: “Lynsey, like many other long-serving staff members, is an important part of our firm’s history and has worked immensely hard to support our clients and get to where she is today.
“We are delighted that she has completed 25 years of service with us. I would like to thank her on behalf of everyone at Milsted Langdon for her incredible work and passion for the job.”
