Local law firm raises money for St Margaret's Hospice

Somerset charity, St Margaret’s Hospice, has been presented with a cheque by local law firm, Porter Dodson.

Employees at the Yeovil office held regular fundraising events and activities, such as bake sales and Christmas jumper day, to raise money, which was then match funded by the Partners to bring the total to £900.

St Margaret’s Hospice is a registered charity providing high-quality, responsive, compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-shortening illness. Through their medical expertise, nursing skills and specialist support services, they provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to over 3,200 patients and their families each year.

Claire Hart, Corporate Fundraiser, commented: “We were pleased to have been chosen as the Yeovil office’s Charity of the Year. As the services we provide are for free, we are dependent upon the generosity of our Somerset community. I would like to thank everyone in the office who supported the Hospice.”

Robert Fox, Managing Partner and Yeovil Office Head, said: “I’m delighted we’ve been able raise this money to help St Margaret’s Hospice with their fundraising efforts. They do a fantastic job providing a worthwhile service to the local community when they need it most. I’d like to thank everyone who took part and donated in the various activities that we organised.”
