HORROR FILMS WITH A LEGAL TWIST

Released On 27th Sep 2023

Whilst we understand ‘Amicus’ to mean ‘friend of the court’, the word was used in a somewhat more sinister way back in the 1970s. Amicus Productions were a low budget horror film producer who made short story, portmanteau, films (four or five stories on a theme) and were a rival to Hammer Films. They also made film versions of ‘Dr Who’ and the dinosaur adventure ‘The Land That Time Forgot’.

Now, a Scottish independent film maker, Hex Studios, intends to raise the name from the grave and to re-start film production on some classic British horror themes.

Perhaps, the two Amicus’ could join forces and re-make horror films with a legal twist: ‘Draculaw’, ‘The Night of the Living Debt’, ‘The Signing’ and ‘An American Attorney in London’ for starters?

Any other horror/law film titles come to mind?
