The Challenge
The UK built environment is responsible for approximately 25% of total UK greenhouse gas emissions*. To reach net zero by 2050, we need solutions and innovations that increase the use of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency within the home.
How is the programme delivered?
The Sustainability Bridge is a seven-module programme that will run until March 2024, through a series of themed virtual and in-person fortnightly meetups. Sessions bring together business and industry experts with leaders from established companies involved in various aspects of the retrofitting challenge for the built environment – including financing, energy efficiency, development, deployment and data.
Why join?
Innovation has a key part to play in giving UK homes a sustainable future. The Sustainability Bridge enables established UK businesses and early-stage startups to discuss the critical challenges facing innovation and net zero solutions.
Who’s it for?
The programme is designed for leaders from the UK’s established businesses and sustainability startups to work towards sustainable solutions in the built environment by sharing ideas, expertise, and innovation.
Startups
Climate startups and businesses whose products, services, or innovations can be applied to the built environment sector, will be able to build deeper domain expertise and expand their network, helping to create solutions or proofs-of-concept for larger businesses.
Established businesses
Established businesses are introduced to the new technologies, practices, and skills of start-up cultures, helping them to transform and accelerate innovation within their business and industry sectors.
