Somerset Innovation Exchange provides a collaborative forum for the county’s leading businesses to learn and share the latest technological and industrial innovations, helping them to develop and grow together as part of Somerset’s innovation community. They are holding a number of free business support workshop events starting in May 2023 as part of our ‘Summer of Innovation’. Open to all Somerset businesses, events include:

Last chance to apply for Somerset Launch Pad

Do you have a new business idea? Somerset Council is looking for the new generation of outstanding start-up's seeking to create new businesses in Somerset. Whatever industry or experience, motivation, idea or expectations you have, ‘Somerset Launch Pad’ will prepare and guide you through the start-up process.

Any pre-start and start up small businesses in the Somerset Council catchment area can apply for this new fully funded start-up programme delivered over ten weeks from May to September.

The programme includes workshops and masterclasses on core business fundamentals covering business plans, marketing, social media, finances, legal, operational systems, networking and more. Plus weekly personal business mentor support and peer-to-peer networking. Applications close 4th May with interviews the following week.
