*FREE* Mental Health First Aid Training

Mentla Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. MHFA won't teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond. We can offer these courses FREE through funding from Public Health at Somerset County Council as part of its implementation of the Somerset Mental Health and Wellbeing strategy. The market rate for these courses is £300 per person.
The courses are aimed at statutory and voluntary sector works in health, welfare or social justice/adult education/leisure and community safety staff and volunteers/emergency services workers/general practice staff.
