Battens Solicitors to Host Two Employment Guidance Lunches on
Workplace Discrimination and Restructures & Redundancies
Two free employment lunches are being held by one of the South West’s largest law firms, Battens Solicitors, to offer local businesses guidance on discrimination and making internal restructures and redundancies without falling foul of the law.
As well as hearing from employment law specialists and enjoying a delicious complimentary lunch, attendees will also be invited to share their thoughts and experiences, and can take the opportunity to discuss any issues they may have.
Workplace Discrimination Lunch
The first lunch, which will be held on Tuesday 20th September at Mansion House, Yeovil, will look at the sensitive issues surrounding the discrimination; experts from Battens Solicitors will highlight the different forms of discrimination as well as the steps businesses can take to prevent it and how to deal with breaches.

Restructures and Redundancies Lunch
The second business lunch, which will take place on Thursday 22nd September at the Gamekeeper, Charminster, will examine the reasons behind restructures - such as improving efficiency or implementing strategic legal changes – and look at how to manage them and any subsequent redundancies, successfully.

“Changes are sometimes needed within a business to support new workloads, business needs or other factors. What’s important is that businesses get it right by keeping inside the law and causing as little disruption to their workforce as possible. This event will highlight exactly how businesses can achieve this successfully.”
