Released On 20th Oct 2015
Yeovil town centre based accountants Gilbie Roberts are pleased to announce the arrival of new partner Craig Howes, who joined the firm on 12 October after over 19 years with Yeovil based Old Mill accountants. ‘Roberts & Co was established by Richard Roberts and has been based in offices at Church Terrace for the last 22 years’ explained partner Paul Gilbie. ‘I bought the business 8 years ago and subsequently changed its name to Gilbie Roberts. Craig’s arrival marks an exciting new phase in the firms growth’ added Paul.
The firm specialises in helping small and medium sized businesses in the Yeovil area with their financial affairs. New partner, and Yeovil Chamber of Commerce Treasurer Craig Howes who is a familiar character in the local business community, was previously head of Business Services in the Yeovil offices of Old Mill from where he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this sector.
‘I enjoyed every minute of my time with Old Mill and am sad to be leaving behind the many good friends I made over the years. However, I have always harboured the ambition to work in a firm operating in the niche small business sector in Yeovil and I have known Paul for several years and he has impressed with his sector knowledge, drive and enthusiasm. I am delighted to be joining Paul at Gilbie Roberts at this exciting time for the firm and look forward to working with him in a sector of the local business community with which I share his interest'.
The firm are organising a series of open evenings at their offices in the coming weeks where Craig plans to meet some of Paul’s clients and other key members of the local business community and where Paul will outline the firm’s exciting plans for the future.
