Chamber Member Champions Chernobyl Children’s Charity!

Released On 18th Aug 2015

Robert Firth Yeovil

On Tuesday 8th September, Simon Frackiewicz, partner at Robert Frith Optometrists Yeovil is hosting ten children from the Ukraine, visiting the UK with the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Charity.  The five boys and five girls, aged between ten and eleven, are all in ill-health arising from radiation exposure following the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.  Simon said: “They are coming to see me for an eye test, something which I have done for the past few years, and I have arranged for them to have a pizza-making session with ASK.”

Simon would like local businesses to donate items for ‘goody-bags’ for each of the ten children.  “So far, we have pens, balloons and some sunglasses, so anything will do.”  If any Chamber member would like to contribute items for the goody bags, please drop them in to Robert Frith Optometrists at 18 Princes St.  All donations will be gratefully received!
