CELEBRATING ERIN DARLING-FINAN’S APPOINTMENT TO APIL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

CELEBRATING ERIN DARLING-FINAN’S APPOINTMENT TO APIL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Released On 17th Jul 2024

We are thrilled to announce that Erin Darling-Finan, a dedicated and compassionate member of our team, has been appointed as a junior member of the Executive Committee at the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). This prestigious appointment is a testament to Erin’s relentless commitment to fighting for the rights of injured, vulnerable, and disabled people.

APIL, a respected not-for-profit organisation, advocates for bereaved families and individuals who have suffered due to negligence, with members spanning the entire UK. Erin’s new role with APIL reflects her deep passion for ensuring that victims of negligence receive the justice they deserve, especially during their most challenging times.

Erin’s work at Amicus Law Solicitors has been nothing short of remarkable. Since joining us, she has established our personal injury department from the ground up, dedicating herself to supporting those who need it most. She specialises in working with vulnerable or disabled individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own, consistently achieving successful outcomes for her clients.

One notable case involved a blind man injured by a hazard while walking. The defendant argued it wasn’t foreseeable that a blind person would be in that area, but Erin effectively rebutted this claim, securing justice for her client.

Erin’s dedication goes beyond winning cases; she deeply understands the life-changing impact of serious injuries. Her clients often face severe challenges, such as the inability to work or the need for extensive medical care and home adaptations. Erin fights to ensure they receive the compensation necessary to cover these costs, including essential items like prosthetic limbs and home modifications that enable them to live more independently.

In her new role at APIL, Erin will be at the forefront of addressing critical issues in the personal injury sector, including advocating for legal reforms and participating in important campaigns. Her ability to discuss and influence reforms, address the needs of victims and their families, and contribute to positive change is truly commendable.

Erin’s impressive career in the personal injury field began in 2016, and her excellence has not gone unnoticed. Earlier this year, she was shortlisted for the Chartered Legal Executive of the Year at the Devon and Somerset Law Society annual awards, further highlighting her exceptional contributions to the field.

We are incredibly proud of Erin’s achievements and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make in her new role with APIL. Please join us in congratulating Erin on this fantastic accomplishment!
