Care Campaign Returns To Grow Care Sectors Workforce
Released On 11th Oct 2023
The 'Made with Care' campaign is a government initiative aimed at encouraging individuals with the right qualities to consider a career in adult social care. This campaign, now in it's third year, focuses on promoting various career opportunities available in adult social care across England and emphasizes the potential to make a positive impact on people's lives. The goal is to attract qualified personnel and facilitate the recruitment process for care providers.
The government is committed to a 10-year vision for reforming adult social care. The "Next Steps to put People at the Heart of Care" plan outlines significant investments, including £700 million over two years. This funding includes £250 million allocated for workforce development, on top of the existing £7.5 billion investment aimed at reducing waiting times for adult social care and increasing overall capacity.
The primary goal of this funding and the 'Made with Care' campaign is to alleviate the strain on the healthcare system, particularly the National Health Service (NHS), and ensure that citizens receive the care and support they require and deserve. The campaign serves as part of the broader strategy to enhance the quality of adult social care services in the United Kingdom.
