Supplying the public sector - online webinar April 2025
The public sector spends billions each year buying goods and services from the private sector. Winning a contract to provide products and services to public sector buyers is a great way to increase your revenues and enhance your reputation.
Join our online webinar with a panel of procurement experts to find out more about changes to legislation, opportunities in Somerset and how to maximise your chances of making a successful tender bid.
In Somerset, millions are spent by public sector organisations, including Somerset Council and the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust (Somerset NHS FT).
We will be joined by procurement experts from both the council and the trust to discuss how local businesses can work with them and bid for contracts. Also online will be a procurement expert from law firm Stone King to outline recent changes to procurement law.
In February this year, the new Procurement Act 2023 came into force with the aim of driving greater efficiency, transparency and fairness in public sector procurement. Described as one of the greatest shake-ups in procurement legislation, the act also places a duty on the public sector to assess what barriers SMEs face in bidding for tenders and to find solutions to them.
There is no charge to attend the webinar and attendees will be guided through the new Procurement Act and given tips on how to engage, sector and best deliver public sector business contracts.
Bookings will close for this online event on Tuesday, April 29, at 12 noon.
