Tamburino's Restaurant
Tamburino’s first restaurant was opened in Yeovil on the 27th February 2005 bringing the town a true taste of Italy with our wonderful traditional cuisine and vibrant atmosphere. The Tamburino chain now includes 2 outlets in Yeovil, 2 in Sherborne and 1 in Street.
Owner Domenico Taravella is from Sicily, where passion runs deep. No more so than the passion for food and hospitality. In fact, Domenico began his restaurant career at the tender age of 14 – not surprising, because as he says, “Food and drink are part of the culture of my country. We embrace them at a very young age!”
After travelling for many years, Domenico decided to settle down in the UK. After working as a kitchen porter in an Italian restaurant in Essex, his boss found about his talent and asked him to move to Somerset where he was going to open another restaurant and be the Manager.
After 7 years working in Somerset, Domenico decided it was time to open his own restaurant and with the help of family, friends, council and the local community, Tamburino Ristorante was born on the 27th February 2005, bringing a fresh taste of Italy to Yeovil.
