Volunteer business advisers needed

One of our strategic aims within the PLG ‘Talent and Skill’s’ plan is to enable our future talent to be innovation, enterprise and bid ready. You will all be aware of the great PLG innovation and enterprise project that launched earlier this year with the support of Young Enterprise. We now need your support to become one of 13 business advisors that will ensure that the Young Enterprise programme in our local schools and college is successfully completed. Volunteers are needed now until about May, depending on how the students undertaking the enterprise and progress.

The business adviser opportunities give you or a member of your organisation a fantastic opportunity to directly engage with young people in a practical, structured way. The role could be perfect for either individuals or perhaps a couple of members of staff to work together to support the next generation of potential innovators in the region. Volunteers can come from a range of backgrounds and seniority, some organisations use this for staff development, perhaps pairing younger apprentices with more experienced staff.
